Background

The Narodni Folk Dancers group was formed in 1976 when the California State University of Long Beach International Folkdance Club merged with the Long Beach Folkdance Co-op.  In 2006, Narodni moved to Bellflower, California.

Narodni is a Serbo-Croatian word meaning "folk" or "of the people."  

The group is a member of the Folkdance Federation of California, South, a non-profit organization promoting the perpetuation of traditional ethnic dance forms.  

The group's active music collection consists of more than 600 dance tunes representing many nations and ethnic groups.
